In Focus Missions we have a Parent-Guardian System that will allow you to register your student(s), fulfill their requirements, and pay fees even when you are not on the trip. You will need your own Focus Missions Account. Your student is not required to have their own account, but, if they are above 13 years old, we recommend that they have their own account.
Registering With A New Account
To Apply you will find the trip that your student wants to apply for and click "Apply Today".
The next screen will allow you to sign in using your existing Focus Missions Account or create a new one. To create a new account, select "Create a New Account".
IMPORTANT: remember that you are creating an Account for you (the guardian) and not your student at this point.
Fill out your personal contact information: First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Date of Birth, Gender and select a password. Then click "Sign Me Up!". This will create an account but will not register you for the trip.
The next screens layout is dependant on how the organization you are going with setup the trip. If it is limited to only students you will see a message that you do not meet the age requirements to register and another option to register your student (language may vary but will be similar to team, family, friends etc). If the organization you are going with does not have an age requirement then you would be able to register you would see a screen on registering yourself and/or other members. Click "Register Your Student"
On this screen, you will see a list of people you have registered for this particular trip. Please note that you can not register multiple students for different trips but you can register multiple students for the same trip.
To get start click "Add Person"
On this screen, you will add your participant's information. An email address is optional, but, for ages 13 and above we strongly recommend it. You will have access to all of the participant's information regardless if they have their own email address.
After you add one participant, you will have the option to add others. Each participant can have a different/unique guardian. Click "Add Another Person" or "Yep, That's Everybody!" to move on to the next step. Please note the progress wizard on the right side of the screen so that you can see your progress.
After signing everyone up in your group or participant that you are the guardian of, you will be shown a list of everyone that you registered and will be able to start applying for the trip. You will need to follow the below steps for each person that you registered:
1. Click Resolve to complete or email the application.
2. Click Resolve to select or add the guardian who will be responsible for the requirements and legal signature of the Participant.
Focus Missions will ask for the Legal Guardian of the participant you registered that is under 18.
After clicking "Resolve", you will be given the option to answer questions or email them to your student via the email address that you registered them with.
When completing the Guardian Information, you can select yourself or select "None of These Are The Guardian" to add the guardian information.
Once the application has been completed or emailed, the next step is entering payment information. Here you can select to pay the deposit, or to the total cost of the trip. Select which option you would like and click "Continue To Final Step".
On the Payment Screen, enter your Billing and Payment Information. Once you are done, click "Submit Application".
When your payment information has been successfully processed, you will see the completed screen and a button labeled "My Trips". Click on that button to see the Trip Participant Dashboard.
This is the homepage of Focus Missions and you will see a list of trips you are going on when you log in. Please note on the right side is a drop menu to select what types of trips you want to view. The options are:
- Trips that you yourself are going on - (Trips that you are a participant on)
- Trips you are leading - (Trips that you have been added as a leader by the admin)
- Trips you are responsible for - (Trips that you are listed as a guardian)
To see the status of the trip or to complete requirements, simply click on your student's name.
