How do I transfer funds to other trips or participants? Follow
Administrators now have the ability to re-allocate funds between participants and trips. You may now:
- transfer funds between team members
- transfer funds to another trip
- transfer funds to another user
- transfer funds back to unallocated on the same trip
- view an Audit Log to track actions taken on the individual transaction
Follow the steps below to transfer funds in your trips as needed.
Access a Participant's Funding
To transfer funds from a participant's account, select the participant from the trip's Team Members' view.
Transferring Funds
From the participant's funding view, select the transaction you wish to re-allocate.
Click on the transaction to reveal a drop-down menu of the following options:
- Notes
- Remove Donation
- Transfer Funds
- Audit Log
To transfer all or part of this transaction amount, click on Transfer Funds.
From the Transfer Funds window, select which action you wish to perform. You may:
- Transfer funds to another team member on the same trip
- Move funds to another trip's unallocated funds
- Transfer funds to another team member on a different trip
Transferring Funds to a Team Member
To move all or part of a transaction amount to another team member on the same trip, simply select the participant from the drop-down menu and define the amount to be transferred.
When you are ready, click the Yes, Transfer Funds button.
Moving Funds to Another Trip
To move all or part of a transaction amount to a different trip's unallocated trip funds, simply select the trip from the drop-down menu and define the amount to be transferred.
When you are ready, click the Yes, Transfer Funds button.
Transferring Funds to Another Participant on a Different Trip
To move all or part of a transaction amount to another team member on a different trip, select the trip from the first drop-down menu, and then the receiving participant from the second drop-down menu, then define the amount to be transferred.
When you are ready, click the Yes, Transfer Funds button.
If you attempt to move more funds than is needed to a participant, or if you select a participant who is already fully funded, you will be prompted to select a different amount or participant from the window.
The Audit Log
The Audit Log feature allows you to view all actions taken on a particular transaction from its original point of entry to any and all transfers. The Audit Log also tracks:
- the date each action took place
- the recipient of any transferred funds
- users performing the transfers or other actions
- the amount moved
