Scanning connection cards
After you collect the batch of forms or cards, you can begin the process for scanning. Before creating your scanned batch, please review the following guidelines for scanning your forms or cards.
Scan the completed forms front to back. Even if only the front is filled out, once you set up a two-page template, the system requires both pages in order to process the scans successfully. Therefore, odd numbered pages would be the fronts, and even number pages would be the backs of the form.
Single page template
Scan one card per page, every page of the PDF will be a separate card. You can also use a collection of JPGs or PNGs.
Note: When scanning in multi forms, each page must be scanned as a separate PDF.
While it is important to align the form in the scanner correctly when creating your template, alignments is less critical when scanning your batches. Next Steps uses intelligent technology to realign your forms for processing.
Follow the steps below for scanning your forms:
Step 1 – Place the forms into your scanner feed.
Step 2 – Follow the screen prompts for your scanner to successfully complete the scan.
Step 3 – Save the batch you scanned in PDF format to any folder on your hard drive. In this example, the file saved is titled, KFW Communication Card.
